PhD program
The Department of Development and Environmental Studies has been offering the PhD program in the International Development Studies since 2010. Nearly twenty researchers are enrolled in the PhD program in different stages of completion of their doctorate. The duration of the program is four years. The program is interdisciplinary in its nature and is focused on current global challenges and threats, especially in developing countries. A wide range of scholarships motivates our PhD students to do their fieldwork in foreign countries.
The PhD program aims at preparing highly-qualified staff for scientific and expert work with adequate language skills. Upon a successful completion of the program, students will have acquired profound knowledge in development-related issues as well as in research methodology.
